(Bellingham, WA)  The Master Remodelers Council (MRC) affiliated with the 475 member Building Industry Association of Whatcom County (BIAWC) held an awards presentation on May 18, and presented two members of MRC with 2011 Remodeling in Excellence Awards (REX).

Brian Evans of Green Mountain Homes and the 2011 Master Remodelers Council Chairman, said, "It is an honor to submit application for the REX awards and valuable to document the homeowner’s projects from beginning to completion.  It’s also an honor for our MRC members to be recognized before their peers at the local, state and national levels, as they submit entries and are professionally judged in categories ranging from budget, design, unique applications and total excellence to the living environment in the associated price category.”

Evans further said, "We are pleased to present the following awards to this year’s 2011 BIAWC Master Remodelers Council (MRC) Remodeling in Excellence (REX) Award Recipients:

• Rose Construction, Inc.,  Residential Kitchen:  $30,000 -- $60,000
• Rose Construction, Inc., Residential Bath:  $25,000 -- $75,000
• Rose Construction, Inc., Residential Addition Under $75,000
• Legacy Kitchen and Bath, Residential Kitchen Over $125,000

The above listed award recipients along with other local applicants have also submitted at the state level and will find out mid-June how they have competed against other applicants state-wide.

Plan now to attend and participate in the 2011 Tour of Remodeled Homes scheduled for October 1 – 2.  Approximately, 8 – 12 remodeled homes are showcased for the public to see what is possible with construction and the projects that local homeowners selected, as well as the quality craftsmanship the remodeler implemented.
