Contestant must be a Whatcom County student, grade 6-12
Contestant may submit one poem only
Poem must be on the topic of home or garden
Poem may be inspired by the color name on a single paint chip, a group of paint chips or a palette of colors.
Poem may be illustrated with the paint chips used as inspiration
Submission must be on an standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper, vertical orientation
Submit one copy of your illustrated poem
On back of paper, include the following:
Name
Parent's Name
Address
Email
Phone
Name of School
Grade Level
Poems will not be returned, but will be available for pickup March 11-30th at the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County,

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 21, 2013 for judging. Until March 2, 2013 for display only.

Winning poets will be invited to read their poem live on the radio during the Whatcom County Home & Garden Show, March 8-10.
All poems will be displayed at the Whatcom County Home & Garden Show, March 8-10
By submitting a poem to the Paint Chip Poetry Contest, the poet (or parent/guardian if poet is under age 18) agrees and grants permission for the poem and the poet's name as author to be displayed and/or reproduced for publication or fundraising purposes related to the Whatcom County Home & Garden Show and/or the Paint Chip Poetry Contest.
