Public Works Operations reduces reception hours

Effective March 1, 2010, the front door reception desk and phone lines at Public Works Operations, 2221 Pacific Street will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 4 p.m., a reduction of 30 minutes. The decrease is the result of budget reductions and operational changes to improve efficiency.
"We are operating with fewer staff at the operations reception desk,” said Joan Cady, Superintendent. "We hope the half-hour reduction at the end of the day has little impact on the public,” she said. After-hours phone calls will be directed to the Post Point emergency after-hours staff. Other Public Works services and locations remain unchanged.
