Mary L. Dickinson Esq. has served as the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County’s Governmental Affairs Director since 2003. She also is staff to the Whatcom County Affordable Housing Council (WCAHC). Mary is a proud 4th generation, life-long Whatcom County resident. She graduated with her Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD) from the University of Oregon School of Law in May 2000, and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Whatcom County Bar Association. She graduated from Western Washington University cum laude with a BA in Political Science in 1997. Mary has been active in Whatcom County Women Lawyers, and has served on the board of the organization in the past. She currently serves on the Habitat for Humanity Board in Whatcom County, and the Paralegal Studies Board for Whatcom Community College. In her spare time, she enjoys learning to play the piano, following in the tradition of her mother and grandmother.
