Bill Quehrn is the Executive Vice President, also known as the Executive Officer (EO), of the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County (BIAWC). It is his job to see that the programs and missions of the Association’s members as defined by its officers and Board of Directors are met, and to supervise the professional staff at the BIAWC office to accomplish those goals.
Bill graduated from Western Washington University while working nights at local radio station KGMI. After graduation in 1970 he joined the announcing staff at the station and worked there until 1979. He left his position at KGMI that year for a brief stint as General Manager of the Bellingham Chamber of Commerce during a transition period for the Chamber. He returned to KGMI in 1982 and worked as a staff announcer, program producer, and active participant in community and civic affairs until 2001 when he was approached for the position at the BIAWC and subsequently hired.
Bill and his wife Mary have two children and two grandchildren. Bill’s commitment to member services and to the development and success of his colleagues at BIAWC are paramount. He also enjoys nothing more than having members drop by the office to share a story or discuss a problem. |
